Simplify Your Life With AutoPay

This free service is designed to automatically deduct your payment from your bank account on or around your due date each month.

The benefits of AutoPay

With AutoPay, you may reduce risk of missing a payment deadline. AutoPay helps protect your good payment history and facilitate timely payments of your energy bill. You’ll know when the payment is going to be made, which helps make your budgeting easier. Plus, you’ll be helping the environment by reducing the use of paper checks and mail processing.

How AutoPay works

When you enroll in AutoPay, you have visibility and the ability to manage every payment. Here’s how the process works:

  • When you enroll, you decide which checking or savings account you want to use for your payments.
  • Each month, you receive your natural gas bill, which shows your payment due date.
  • On or around the due date, your bill is scheduled to automatically be paid from the account you’ve selected.
  • Your bank statement will show the payment in your list of transactions.

Need to make a change? You can stop an AutoPay payment by changing your settings at least three days before your payment due date. You can also pause or cancel your AutoPay service at any time, subject to processing timelines.

AutoPay FAQs

What happens if I sign up for AutoPay after my payment due date?

Any past-due balance is generally scheduled to be paid from your selected account within approximately three days after you enroll. Once you’ve enrolled, your future bills will show “Do Not Pay – Account Will Be Drafted” where the payment coupon normally appears on your bill.

What happens if I have a billing dispute?

If you would like to stop AutoPay, log into your account and pause your AutoPay enrollment at least three days before the payment due date, so the dispute can be investigated and processed.

How do I change the account I want to be used for AutoPay?

Just log into your account, select AutoPay and update your account information at least three days before your payment due date.

Can I use AutoPay if I'm in a budget-based billing program?

Yes. It works the same way — we estimate the annual cost of your energy usage and divide it by 12 months to create a consistent, predictable payment for you. You still only pay for the actual energy you use, and your payment amount is periodically reviewed and adjusted in accordance with the program terms. Learn more about Average Monthly Billing.
