How to Apply

Let the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) help you with your gas bills. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t delay.

If you are receiving temporary assistance or food stamps, you do not need to apply for HEAP. Your HEAP benefit will be applied to your gas bill automatically.

However, if your gas is off or you have a shutoff notice, visit your county’s HEAP location to apply in person.
