MyHEAT provides an online platform that enables customers to view and compare heat escaping from their homes, and encourages them to learn more about local resources and incentives to lower home energy consumption and improve efficiency. Throughout the pilot, customers may receive detailed information about accessing their personalized profile, which provides customers with visual details about how their home uses and loses energy. If you’ve been noticing cold floors and drafty rooms this winter, your house may need some weatherproofing upgrades. National Fuel’s new partner, Sealed, covers the upfront costs for insulation and smart home technology.
Available across New York state, Sealed provides home energy upgrades for homeowners that are paid for by their energy savings. Sealed is now offering these upgrades as part of its Comfort Plan to residential customers and includes air sealing, insulation and smart home technology, including smart thermostats and LED lighting. Sealed covers the upfront costs for the upgrades, which create greater energy efficiency through weatherization, balancing home temperatures and reducing energy waste. Homeowners then pay back Sealed based on how much their homes save energy.
