Job Responsibilities
The Sr. Advisor, Completions will serve as an integral member of the Drilling & Completions team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead end‑to‑end completions and frac design for horizontal shale wells, including frac architecture, stage and cluster strategy, materials selection, pump schedules, and treatment optimization
- Provide senior‑level technical oversight during frac operations, ensuring real‑time troubleshooting, risk identification, mitigation strategies, and disciplined execution
- Guide and mentor completions engineers, promoting consistent engineering rigor, adherence to operational standards, and strong safety performance
- Assess well and frac performance through comprehensive post‑job reviews, diagnostics, and data analytics to reduce variability, enhance repeatability, and drive technical learnings
- Lead evaluation and deployment of new completions technologies, ensuring pilots are effectively designed and results translated into scalable field applications
- Manage and influence service provider performance, ensuring high-quality execution, adherence to technical requirements, and disciplined cost control
- Collaborate closely with drilling, reservoir, production, facilities, and supply chain teams to align completions designs with broader development goals and asset strategies
- Support AFE creation, cost tracking, and program-level continuous improvement, ensuring capital efficiency and operational consistency
- Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline)
- 12–15+ years of completions or stimulation experience in onshore U.S. shale operations
- Extensive field experience with frac execution and real-time decision-making
- Prior experience leading engineering teams preferred
- Extensive expertise in horizontal shale completions with deep technical knowledge of hydraulic fracturing design, execution, and optimization
- Strong command of completions data analytics and diagnostics, including integration of frac data, reservoir response, and well performance evaluation
- Proven technical judgment and operational problem‑solving skills developed in fast‑paced field and engineering environments
- Proficient in frac design modeling and completions engineering software, along with advanced experience in well data management and visualization tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a demonstrated capability to clearly convey complex technical concepts across multidisciplinary teams
