PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a hands-on QA Lead, actively designing, executing, and reviewing automated and manual tests across enterprise applications, integrations, and workflows.
- Lead QA technology strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and release readiness decisions for project and production changes.
- Shift quality controls earlier in the development sprint by participating in requirements reviews, design discussions, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Design and execute end-to-end test plans validating critical business processes, system integrations, batch jobs, and data integrity.
- Develop, maintain, and review test case libraries, test procedures, and supporting documentation to ensure repeatability, audit readiness, and compliance.
- Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders; consolidate results into clear risk-based recommendations.
- Drive adoption of test automation where it adds value, including smoke, regression, and integration testing.
- Introduce and govern AI-assisted testing practices (e.g., test scenario generation, defect analysis, documentation acceleration) with strict human validation and quality thresholds.
- Define QA standards including severity definitions, coverage expectations, regression strategy, and release criteria.
- Mentor QA team members on manual and automation testing techniques, defect investigation methods, and enterprise system domain knowledge through hands-on coaching.
- Partner closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to improve testability, quality outcomes, and delivery consistency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent QA experience)
- 10+ years software quality assurance experience with 2+ years in lead or senior testing role
- 3+ years hands-on experience with enterprise systems testing (SAP, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, or similar ERP platforms)
- Demonstrated expertise in manual testing methodologies
- Proficiency with defect tracking and test management systems (JIRA with Zephyr Scale or similar)
- 1+ years applying AI/LLM technologies to QA workflows (test generation, defect analysis, knowledge management)
- Well-versed in prompt engineering building AI-assisted testing procedures with human validation oversight
- Proven ability to mentor team members, establish quality standards, and balance AI assistance with manual testing rigor where correctness is critical
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Utility industry domain knowledge (billing systems, meter data management, customer information systems, regulatory compliance)
- Test automation skills with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter), API testing frameworks (Postman, REST Assured).
- Strong Python or JavaScript scripting skills for test automation (TestComplete/Selenium/equivalent) and AI integration; experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and version control (Git) in testing contexts
- Demonstrated expertise in test automation frameworks (TestComplete, Selenium, or equivalent)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary range for this position is – $95,000 – $130,000

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
