PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Electrical Technicians in NY that maintain the electrical, automation, and communication equipment utilized by multiple business units.
- Provide subject matter expertise by interpreting electrical, automation and communication data, troubleshooting problematic electrical components, providing support and working with station and maintenance foremen to solve problems, make recommendations and improving system reliability.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of the Electrical Operations mandated inspection programs.
- Complete pre-construction assessments and field reviews for electrical, automation, and controls work projects.
- Provide Engineering design review for field installations to ensure integrity and constructability.
- Work with multiple departments to maintain and improve the reliability of company facilities.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up of newly installed compressor, interconnect, and M&R stations.
- Ensure lock out tag out (LOTO) programs and other safety programs are in place and utilized at company facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree in an electrical technical field or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated electrical aptitude, including a working knowledge of electrical, automation, communication, controls and telecommunication equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot all types of electrical equipment, auxiliary and ancillary equipment systems.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated experience and thorough working knowledge of NFPA National Electric Code (NEC).
- Exceptional analytical, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to be available off hours (nights & weekends) to facilitate call outs for electrical equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an electrical field (EE or EET) and/or prior electrical work experience of at least 5 years.
- Prior supervisory work experience is desirable.
- Formal training in electrical, automation, communication and controls is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and compressors is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary range for this position is $87,000 – $92,000, with an approximate 20% increase in base salary after one year of successful training.

The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
