Recently, the board of directors of the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation (Foundation), the charitable giving arm of National Fuel Gas Company (National Fuel), approved Foundation grants totaling $136,000.
According to David P. Bauer, Foundation President and President and CEO of National Fuel, the approved funding supports grants aligned with the Foundation’s pillars of Community Enrichment and Safety, Education, Environmental Stewardship and Veterans Services.
“The Foundation is proud to support more than 50 organizations making a meaningful difference across our service territory,” Bauer said. “These grants reflect a combination of community-identified needs, the priorities of our Employee Resource Groups, and the hands-on impact of our employees through Days of Doing. Together, they demonstrate our commitment to investing in programs and partnerships that strengthen and enrich the communities we serve.”
In New York, grant funding will support Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo’s Summer PASS (Program Around Academics and Sports Sampling). Summer PASS is designed to combat summer learning loss by integrating academic instruction with physical activity at five club locations. The program targets youth living at or below the poverty line.
In Pennsylvania, the Knoxville Food Pantry will receive funding to support renovations and new equipment, including a new walk-in freezer. This addition will enable the establishment of a veterans and seniors frozen boxed meal program. The Knoxville Food Pantry serves approximately 200 households each month across Tioga and Potter counties, providing critical food resources.
