More than 600 employees will provide more than 2,200 service hours during Earth Week
This week, more than 600 National Fuel employees will volunteer during Days of Doing (DOD), the Company’s annual three-day, company-wide community service event. Volunteers will complete spring clean-up, beautification, and facility improvement projects to support nonprofit organizations and help prepare communities for Earth Week.
From Tuesday, April 21 – Thursday, April 23, National Fuel employees will take part in 51 service projects across 44 locations throughout National Fuel’s service territory, including:
- New York: Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Wyoming, and Genesee counties
- Pennsylvania: Erie, Crawford, Warren, Mercer, Elk, Jefferson, Clarion, Venango, Tioga, and Lycoming counties
- Texas: Houston
Collectively, employees will contribute more than 2,200 hours of volunteer service, making a visible, hands-on impact in the communities National Fuel serves through clean up and beautification projects.
Over the course of Days of Doing, National Fuel employees will provide a value of approximately $76,677 based on the national volunteer hour value of $34.79.
National Fuel intends to provide participating Days of Doing nonprofits with micro-grants through the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation and will continue to increase corporate volunteerism through its established Faces of Fuel Volunteer Program and annual Days of Doing events.
“National Fuel employees take great pride in supporting our communities, and Days of Doing provides a powerful opportunity to put that commitment into action,” said David P. Bauer, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Fuel Gas Company. “From cleanup efforts to beautification projects, our volunteers once again will make a visible and meaningful impact.”
