These contributions serve numerous communities throughout the Company’s service territory and meet critical needs, including emergency, health and human services, and workforce development, according to David P. Bauer, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Fuel, who serves as the Foundation President.
“In addition to grant applications, the Foundation Board also reviewed and remains committed to its community partnership scholarship programs via the BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund, Buffalo Urban League, and Buffalo Prep. These annual scholarships help students of high school and college levels achieve academic opportunities and success,” Bauer said. Currently, four high school scholars and eight college students receive significant financial awards to assist with their academic pursuits.
The National Fuel Gas Company Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private foundation funded entirely by National Fuel through shareholder funds to better establish National Fuel’s commitment to the community. Foundation focus areas include underserved/economically disadvantaged, education, community vitality/economic impact, and veteran services.
