PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of various corporate financial statements, SEC filings, regulatory reporting, benefit plan and other management reports
- Conduct analysis of financial results and account balances to identify and effectively communicate key variance drivers to management
- Assist in projects relating to the adoption of new accounting and regulatory guidance, automation of department processes and controls, and other areas that support executive management decision making
- Develop and apply an in-depth understanding of the Company’s industry, business segments, and operations to support the Company’s financial accounting and reporting process
- Special projects, as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accounting Information Systems
- Working knowledge of accounting/auditing practices, principles, and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Dependability and attention to detail
- Initiative, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA certification (if CPA certification is not previously attained, the successful candidate should be willing to pursue)
- MBA or Masters in Accounting
- Working knowledge of accounting and enterprise information systems such as PeopleSoft Financials, SAP, and Longview Solutions
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting is desired
